The changing world ( of internet advertising)
I dont understand markets all that much, but is crazy when YHOO goes down everytime GOOG does but the viceversa does not. Though, I am sadistically happy at this point in time about the headlines I am seeing such as
- Google Plunge Stuns Wall Street
- Google earnings disappoint; shares plunge.
Just to say something different:
Incidentally, your postman ( remember “inland letters”, “post cards” , “India Posts” ? ) not only delivers but also collects letters, that you may have, at your doorstep. Though it makes me wonder why they did not come up with this twenty years ago when everyone had no option but to use India Posts, it opens out a lot of interesting scenarios:
- Why doesnt the person from your local EB ( Electricity Board) who comes to your house (to jot down the meter reading) take the payment himself ?
- A similar argument holds good from property tax, water tax. Telephone bill etc.
Not only does this save valuable time of millions of productive people all over India ( I hate to go stand in queue to pay the god damn telephone bill, and it used to be the only way to pay bills anyway ), but also gives something to do for all these government workers who are probably sulked in boredom and monotony.
Oh, it also ensures that everybody pays these bills on time as well. Now, isint that something good for India as a whole ?
