Oh ho hooww..
They have got loads of stuff in there and hours of streaming carnatic. December Music season is also covered a bit, I think. Must visit for all carnatic buffs.

Napa valley has converted the cabernet savignon in me to chardonnay. The white wines I tasted in Napa have a taste and aroma that I have never experienced. And believe me, it is like heavy rock. Until you get into it, everything seems the same. I dont believe in the hype the guides gave us though. I almost broke out laughing when one of them said “Always give a swirl before you take a sip. You must let some oxygen flow into the fluid”.

But I do agree every bottle has it’s own fragrance. And very nice at that. The ones that I had smelled of everything from oak (Most wineries use French Oak, apparently) to strawberries to jasmine to beer!!.

But one thing that I will never forget is how tech savvy the 40 year old Napa valley resident was. When I told him I was from India and that I work for yahoo!, the fellow says “Oh! wow, I love yahoo!. Didnt they just buy del.icio.us? “. Know what? It was less than 24 hours. And there were two die hard yahoos sitting right next to me. I gave them a glance. Expressive faces that these two carry, I immediately understood they were going to question me “What is delicious? The wine? “.

Resolved not to present a dumbass picture, I smiled back at the guide and appreciated his knowledge of things.

The carquinez bridge ??

I really want to know what bridge this one is. I know it is enway from Napa to Oakland. I saw lots of road boards about exits to Berkeley. So, it is close to that. From google earth, I seem to conclude that this is the carquinez bridge ( One of the three bridges ). But I dont remember seeing three bridges there. Also, Just after the bridge, I also got a nice view of both the Bay bridge and the Golden Gate.

Oh, btw. I did not take the picture, But I was definitely responible for the “shutter speed/more aperture” effect. It was nothing but 70 mph.

I keep telling a lot of my friends about things that I think are impending,

Mr. Nostradamus pessimissus,

• A bubble burst – I am starting to become skeptical about the entire web 2.0 thingy and the amount of activity ( read startups) it has been spurting. Lotsa people have written enough about it, so I will leave it at that.
• A sensex crash – what is it now ? 9200…God damn!
• Real estate prices in Bangalore – The wasteland in Bannerghatta road is worth 3000 bucks (INR)?
• And finally ( Hold your breath) an Ice Age. Apparently, this has been the longest time period in earth’s history without an ice age ( Somebody told me this, Not my idea really )

Do you have any ?

WTF…How many times do I have to read that Yahoo! just acquired del.icio.us ?? What do you want to do ? Create readership and increase your blogroll’s worth (which is bullshit by itself ) ?

I mean, I know we all wanna write, But write when you have the content . Dont waste your time and the collective time of all your readers. That way, you are only going to loose them sooner or later.

I come to read your blog because I want to know what you are upto, what you have been doing lately, whether you authored a mashup that can do something cool, whether you think a bubble burst is impending etc.
